PHILADELPHIA - President Judge Walter Sohn of Dauphin County Court died early today in Jefferson Hospital here.

The 74-year-old jurist was admitted to the hospital three days ago. Hospital authorities said they were not listing the cause of death without the consent of his family.

A 1912 graduate of Dickinson College, Judge Sohn was graduated from the Dickinson Law School in 1914 and began the practice of law one year later. For more than 25 years he was county solicitor for Dauphin County and held that office when he was appointed to the bench on April 2, 1951.

He was elected to a 10-year term that year and reelected to a second term in 1961. The jurist, who had also handled all juvenile cased in the county became president judge in 1962.

Judge To Be Buried At Curwensville
Judge Walter R. Sohn, 74, of Harsisburg, who died Friday in Jefferson County at Philadelphia, will be buried this afternoon in Oakhill Cemetery at Curwensville.
Judge Sohn was a brother-in- law of Mrs. Ed P. Dufton of Clearfield.
He was president judge of the Dauphin County Court.
