Rhoda L. Dew,85, a resident of the Clarence Nursing Home, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday in the nursing home. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery . Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel. Survivors include a stepbrother, Paul Rupp of Mechanicsburg, Pa. Also surviving are two nieces, Mildred Mingst of Clarence and Dorothy Goldsmith of Urbandale. She was proceeded in death by a sister, Jennie Horn; and a brother, David Cline. Rhoda was born July 19, 1906, in Adams County, Pa. She married Bruce E. Dew on Aug. 17, 1929, in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1986. Rhoda worked at Killian's in the book department for 20 years. The Rev. Tom Biatek of Clarence United Methodist Church will officiate.
