Arline (Siley) Miller, 96, a lifelong resident of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday surrounded by her family and friends at the Summit Nursing Home, Wilkes-Barre, where she had resided for the past 15 years.
She was born April 24, 1910, in Miners Mills, a daughter of the late Albert and Nettie (Oplinger) Siley.
She attended Wilkes-Barre schools and was a devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis E. Miller; son John R. Miller; daughters Marion Kempka, Margaret Loch; brothers Raymond, Edward, Frank, Alfred (Jake), Russell, Mike, Harry, Will; sisters Mae Siley, Sarah Madde and Elsie Siley.
Surviving are daughters Patricia Miller, at home; Anita Heffers, Kingston; Annette Karash, Dumont, NJ; Sarah Queisser, Paramas, NJ; son Francis Miller, of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Services will be conducted by the Rev. K. Gene Carroll, Ph.D., Pastor of Parsons Primitive Methodist Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
