ALTA BEATRICE 'BEATY' KITNER, 88, of Shermans Dale went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 28, 2014. Born August 29, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Harold C. Barrick, Sr. and Alta Smith Barrick. She was preceded in death by her sister, Pearl Dick, and her brother, Harold Barrick, Jr. She was a member of Mt Gilead United Methodist Church in Shermans Dale. She leaves a legacy of being a faithful wife, a loving mother, and a caring grandmother to 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her husband of 68 years, Harry Kitner. Surviving are her two sons, Glenn and wife Polly of Shermans Dale, and Barry and wife Sharon of Duncannon; and her sister, Helena Ayres of The Bridges, Mechanicsburg. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
