Steven L. Andrews was born on January 27, 1953, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Pete and Monie (Meyer) Andrews.
He was raised and educated in the West Marshall school district, graduating from West Marshall High School in 1971. Steven was united in marriage to the love of his life Jane Kinkade on May 7, 1999, in Marshalltown, Iowa. From this union two children were born: Chad and Nick Andrews.
Growing up Steven helped out farming on the family farm in Melbourne, Iowa before taking a job with Fisher Controls. Steven worked at Fishers for 43 years before retiring on February 1st. He was a member of the Lincoln Valley Golf Course and was also a member of the Harley Davidson group. Steven had a passion for bicycling, riding the trails, golfing, camping, spending time with family and friends, riding in his jeep, spending time with his Grand Daughters and spending time with his cat JayCee.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Jane Andrews; children: Chad (Tarah) Andrews and Nick Andrews; grandchildren: Mackenzie, Kaylie and Ellie Jo Andrews; one sister: Connie Mueller; step-father: Don Jager; step- brother: Bill Jager and step- sister: Deb Netolicky.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Gary Androws and one niece Kelli.
A Family Memorial service for Steven L. Andrews, 61, of Marshalltown, formerly of Melbourne, was held on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Pastor Judy Marshall officiated and Steve's son, Chad, gave the eulogy. A public visitation was held on Friday evening, Saturday 2, 2014, where family was present to greet friends.
Guests from Sunset Village and Fisher Controls were in attendance for the visitation.
