Stephen W. Alford, 62, of Lebanon, passed away April 27, 2014. He was born November 12, 1951 in Anderson to Jim W. and Sue Ann (Wihebrink) Alford and was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. Steve was a paramedic and firefighter and retired from the former Washington Township Fire Department in Indianapolis. He also had coached his sons’ baseball and basketball teams and was a former Boy Scout leader. He is survived by his wife Sue (Strack) Alford whom he married October 10, 1981; children: Matthew Steven (Selina) Alford of Noblesville; Michael Steven (Jenny) Alford of Akron, OH; Brian Eugene (Cassie) Alford of Lebanon; Amanda Claire Alford of Lafayette; and Patrick Ward Alford of Noblesville; grandchildren: Jackson Fields, Trevor, Jaran, Alexander and Lily Alford; brother Tim (Lynn) Alford of Naples, FL; and sister Virginia (Doug) Warner of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Alan Alford.
Funeral Information

Friends may call on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 4-8 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A Celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
