Betty Jean Durham, 88 of Madisonville, KY passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at her daughter's residence.
She was born December 31, 1928 in Madisonville, KY to the late Charles Clements and Rebecca Perkins Clements. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lee Durham; and a brother, Charles Clements, Jr.
Mrs. Durham was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madisonville. She enjoyed shopping, being outside and talking on the phone. The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff on 3 west, the Security Department, and Brandi Scott in Cardiology, at Baptist Health Hospital and Baptist Health Home Care, and Baptist Health Hospice for the excellent care they provided her.
She is survived by one daughter, Dianna (James) Barnett of Madisonville; and one granddaughter, Dr. Jalynn Barnett Clarke and her husband Brandon Clarke.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 P.M. Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Odd Fellows Cemetery with burial to follow.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Tuesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
