Mrs. Helen F. Bull, 87, of Morrison passed away Wednesday evening, Jan. 17, at Resthave Nursing Home.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in Renkes-Reynolds Funeral Home, with Rev. Bruce Breneman of the United Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the Fulton cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeri Chapin, Arthur Weber, Robert Plumley, Walter Tompkins, Ted Paul and Loren Popkins.
Mrs. Abe Renkes was organist and Mrs. Arnold Siefken sang three selections, “In the Garden,” “Under His Wings” and “Ivory Palaces.”
Visitation was held at this funeral home Friday evening. A memorial fund has been established for the United Methodist church organ fund.
Helen Florence Plumley was born Feb. 4, 1891, in Fulton, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Sikkema Plumley. She was reared and educated in Fulton. She resided at Joliet, Ill., Sleepy Eye, Minn., and Hinsdale, Ill. before moving to Morrison to make her home with her daughter. She followed her profession of licensed practical nursing in the three cities where she had resided and also continued for a time after coming to Morrison. She was a member of the United Methodist church.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Clare (Lucille) Chapin of Morrison; one son, Don Appel of Virginia, Minn.; one brother, Frank Plumley of Fulton; two sisters, Mrs. George (Hazel) Weber of Fulton and Mrs. Ruby Harrington of Rock Falls; two grandsons, Jeri Chapin of Ripon, Wis., and Gilbert Chapin of Raleigh, N. C.; and three great grandchildren, Brad, Stacy and Jennifer.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister, Hattie Nason.
