Funeral services for Mr. Floyd Earnest Hamilton of Wisner will be 10 am Monday April 28, 2014 at First Baptist Church Wisner with Rev. Thomas Peoples and Rev. Travis D. Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in the South Central Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Sunday April 27, 2014 at the funeral home.

Mr. Hamilton was born November 23, 1918 to the union of Luther J. Hamilton and Dessie Idonia Robins Hamilton and passed from this life on April 25, 2014.

Floyd served in the United States Army during World War II and was a retired farmer. He loved farming, spending time with his family. His love for his children and grandchildren was immeasurable. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Wisner for over 40 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Ruby Beatrice Hamilton, two sisters: Louise Brewer, Elenaor Scott : five brothers: Jake Hamilton, James Hamilton, Merle Hamilton, infant twins Hamilton boys; grandson: Mackie Ray Hamilton; Great Grandson: Josh Hamilton

He is survived by daughter: Margaret Leonard and husband Bill of Roaring Texas: son Jerry Wayne Hamilton and wife Dixie of Winnsboro, Louisiana: son Larry Joe Hamilton and wife Regaina of Lilbourn, Missouri: daughter Sharron Barlow and husband Herman of Wisner, Louisiana: Ronnie Ray Hamilton and wife Pam of Wisner, Louisiana two sisters: Wilma Stanley of New Madrid, Missouri; Gladys Kennedy of Arkansas: one brother; A.C. Hamilton of Portageville, Missouri: 17 Grandchildren 32 great grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren a long with a host of nieces , nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers are Dewayne Graham, Aaron Hamilton, John Hamilton, Benjamin Lambert, Travis Lambert, Opal Whitaker,

Honorary Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
