The former Frances Bartelt, was born on January 24, 1897 in the Town of Hamburg to Herman and Wilhelmiae Bartelt. She married Frank Brummond on May 17, 1922 in Wausau. He survives.
Mrs Brummond enjoyed quilting, knitting, fishing, poetry writing and traveling.
Survivors besides her husband include a daughter Mrs Delores Jonas of Wausau along with a sister Mrs Walter (Marie) Hartwig of Wausau and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday April 9, 1984 at the Helke West Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Swensen of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Wausau officiated and burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery.
