Bonnie Rae (Salter) Geerken of Silverdale who was born in Peoria, Illinois to Herbert Seaman and Lois Ann (Schupp) Salter died at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on Monday December 22, 2003 after a long struggle with lung disease.

Bonnie graduated from Chillicothe Township High School in 1960 and Brown’s Business College in Peoria in 1962. She was a cashier in Peoria and Washington for many years.

She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Bonnie was a member of the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Bremerton.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 37 years John Wayne Geerken whom she married on October 8, 1966 and two daughters Geronda, husband Jeffrey of Belfair, Washington and Staci, husband R. Todd of Walla Walla, Washington.

Also surviving are her brother Herbert Salter of Bremerton, Washington and her sisters Barbara Ann, husband Jerry of Spartland, Illinois and Marilyn Salter of Ohio State.

Bonnie was loved by all her family and will be greatly missed especially by her five grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home in Bremerton, Washington and burial was at Miller Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family request that memorials may be made to In Tough Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia.
