Gary Albert Cloward, 75, passed away on April 22, 2014 in Midvale, Utah.

He was born October 6, 1938 in Moroni, Utah to Albert Hyrum and Clara Lucille Cloward.

Gary married Norma Thomas on June 24, 1960 in Ferron, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 14, 1965.

Gary worked for the railroad briefly and was self-employed as a painting contractor for thirty-five years.

He was a fun-loving man who had a great sense of humor and made friends everywhere he went. Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He loved to go hunting, fishing, and take family camping trips. Gary spent many years in the Ute Rangers Riding Club and also loved coaching youth baseball. He is remembered by his family for his great sense of humor and work ethic.

Gary is survived by wife, Norma; children, Scott Cloward, Wendy Cloward White, Lance Cloward (Katherine), and Robby Cloward (Denise); ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Nyla Adair and Shanna Coats. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street (100 East), Midvale.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Midvale City Cemetery, 450 West 7500 South.
