Lenora Woodman married Noah Houston "Hugh" Greer on August 14, 1887 at the Big Spring Baptist Church, Newstead, Newton County, Missouri. Big Spring Church was founded by Noah's father, Andrew Vance Greer.

The "family story" is that Noah & Lenora moved with some of his brothers to Arizona and then Noah went on to California. Noah & Lenora's only son, Walter Leroy Greer, was born in Calif. July 5, 1888. After his birth Lenora was sick "with child bed fever" and Noah sent her and baby Walter back to his parents in Newton Co. Missouri on a train. She died less than a year later when Walter was one year old. Noah's parents, Andrew Vance & Catharine (Gregory) Greer raised Walter.
