Born December 28, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Raymond George and Pearl Lorraine Flint Jones.
Married Norman Carl Lister on June 7, 1950. Sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 7, 1963.
Mom was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of the Taylorsville Gardens Second Ward. She served in many callings in Relief Society, Primary, and Sunday School. She was a faithful visiting teacher. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She enjoyed writing poems and stories, playing the piano, holidays, and baking pies! She had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and loved to read and study the scriptures. She really enjoyed teaching Relief Society spiritual living lessons. She has a great love of the Lord.
She especially loved spending time with her family. She adored her nineteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and was looking forward to the arrival of three little great-granddaughters.
Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clyde and Shiryl Jones; brother-in-law, Lee Fullmer; and granddaughter, Kristina Dee Lister. Survived by husband, Norman; children, Renee (Ronald) Johnson, Sherma (Tom) Zimmermann, Mark (Kim) Lister, and Karen (Mark) Strebel; sister, LaRue Fullmer; sister-in-law, Dorothy Jones; brothers, Earl (Margarie) Jones and Glenn (Judi) Jones; many nieces and nephews; and many of Norman's brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 21, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Taylorsville Gardens Second Ward Chapel, 4252 South Bennion Road (1905 West). Friends and family may call on Sunday, July 20, 2003 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), and prior to the services at the church on Monday from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
