DODGEVILLE — Marie Kobbervig, age 84, of Dodgeville, passed away on Wednesday morning, September 10, 1997 at Bloomfield Manor near Dodgeville. She was born Anna Marie Coffey on September 23, 1912 in Dodgeville Township, the daughter of Andrew and Rose (Jaeger) Coffey. She was raised and educated and a lifelong Dodgeville resident. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Royal Neighbors of America. On February 2, 1933, she married Ray Kobbervig at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dodgeville and they made their home in Dodgeville. She is survived by her husband, Ray; a son; a daughter; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several devoted nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Catherine and Ann Elizabeth; three brothers; and three sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 1997 at SAINT JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Father Henry Kalscheuer will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday, September 11, 1997 at the MCGINLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville form 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. where a Parish Rosary will be said at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Dodgeville. In lieu of flowers, Marie's family would prefer memorials be made to St. Joseph's School Fund.
