Henry Hagelshaw, age 73 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Nettle Brininstool, in Newton Township, Calhoun County, Michigan, at 4 O'clock this morning. He had been ill for a month with heart trouble. Mr Hagelshaw was a pioneer of Newton Township, since the death of his wife, a year ago, he has been living with his son, Edward Hagelshaw, who lives on the family homestead. About 4 weeks ago, Mr Hagelshaw went to stay over night with his daughter, But was taken ill and has been sick since. He leaves five daughters, Mrs. Brininstool, Mrs. Ella Lewis of Emmett Township, Mrs. e. Robinson of Newton Township, Mrs. Clara Smith of Emmett Township and Mrs. Lottle Lampkey of Battle Creek, two sons, John Hagelshaw of Bend, Oregon and Edward Hagelshaw of Newton Township, a brother Joseph of Newton Township.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Saturday afternoon in Spaulding school house. The service will be conducted by Rev. William S. Potter and burial will be in Oak Hill cementary. ( Information from The Evening News, Battle Creek, Michigan, Thursday, July 27, 1911 Page 3)
