Obituary:

SEYMOUR - Funeral for John Buford Brothers, 73, was to be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Seymour Church of Christ with Leslie Mickey, minister, officiating, assisted by Bob Pohlman, Goree Church of Christ minister. Burial was to be in Riverview Cemetery under direction of Elliston Funeral Home.

Mr. Brothers died at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday at Baylor County Hospital after an illness of four days. He had been a resident of Baylor County for the past 59 years, where he worked as a shoe cobbler.

Born Nov. 24, 1891 in Temple, he married Sadie Ethel Beavers in Baylor County, April 4, 1915. He was an elder in the Church of Christ here.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, J. W. of Wichita Falls, Weldon of Albuquerque, N.M., and Orval of Seymour; two daughters, Miss Delta Mae Brothers and Miss Pauline Brothers, both of Seymour; two brothers, Sam and Bernie, both of Fort Worth; one sister, Mrs. T. R. Nix of Seymour; and two grandchildren.
