"Maxine M. Miller, 66, formerly of Akron, died June 29, 1999, in Rochester, N.Y. Born in Linn, W. Va., she had lived in the Rochester, N.Y., area for the past several years. She was a 1950 graduate of Green High School, had worked for the U.S. Census Bureau, and was a longtime member of Welcome Wagon. She was preceded in death by father, Paul Carr; sister, Eileen Matheny; and brother, Kenneth Carr. She is survived by husband of 45 years, Bob; children... mother, Georgia Carr of Akron; brother, Ronald (Constance); sister, Patricia (Don) Hartline; mother-in-law, Gladys Miller; brother-in-law, David (Judy) Miller; grandchildren... great-grandchildren... many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Calling hours Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (Route 619). Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with Rev. Harry Carmichael officiating. Interment at East Liberty Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice."
