Artie Mae Enloe, 93 years old, of Ocala, FL passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014. She was born in Campti, LA, April 30, 1920 to the late James Randall and Alma Bice Jackson. Artie Mae graduated from High School in 1937, then later graduated from Cosmetology School in Shreveport, LA. She married the late Acie Theodore Enloe in 1943. They relocated some until settling in Shreveport, LA. Artie Mae was a dedicated Cosmetologist who loved helping women look their best, until retiring in the 1980s. She was a southern Christian lady with exceptional grace and class. She had it tough growing up, sharing teenage responsibilities of raising a family. She did her very best in keeping the family close and molding their young lives. She was a great cook who happily fed four generations. Nothing pleased her more than a clean plate! She learned to play the piano by ear. She loved her family dearly and loved bringing them together. She enjoyed traveling later in life. She was ahead of her times. She is an inspiration! She was preceded in death by her husband, Acie Theodore Enloe and her son, Ted. She is survived by 2 children; Diane Hillman and Janet Kent of Ocala, FL. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She lived a full life and she was so proud of her family! A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Forest Park Cemetery 3700 St Vincent Avenue Shreveport, LA 71103, under the direction of Forest Park Funeral Home.
