Craig Laverne Asleson, 56, of Faribault, died Friday, April 11, 2014 at the District One Hospital in Fairbult.

Craig was born January 10, 1958 in Rochester to Laverne and Arlis (Lietz) Asleson. He attended Dover-Eyota schools.

Craig enjoyed farming and tractors. He was especially proud of tractor pulling accomplishment for which he earned a trophy. He enjoyed going for rides to see the progress of crops and how the harvest was coming along. He loved looking at farming magazines and visiting implement dealers. He looked forward to visiting the Chatfield area whenever possible to see the farm he grew up on. He will be missed by his many friends at the group home.

He is preceded in death by his father Laverne. He is survived by his mother, Arlis and brother, Brian, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

A Funeral Service for Craig will be held 2:00 PM Monday, April 21st, 2014 at the Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield with Rev. Paul Forde officiating. Burial will follow at the Root Prairie Lutheran Cemetery in rural Fountain.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield.
