Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton. Additional visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
Services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church. Interment will take place at the Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton, Iowa.
Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in her memory.
Lois Mae Scheel was born March 2, 1922, to William John and Adeline Margaret (Vetter) Scheel in Davenport. She graduated from the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. Lois taught school until her marriage to Harry Louis Moeller on March 13, 1948, in Davenport. Harry preceded her in death on June 1, 2007.
Lois was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Ladies Aide and the Fellowship Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharyl Gruenhagen of Durant, and Dawn and husband, Tom Luethye of Wilton; three grandchildren, Rachelle and husband, Iury Rocha of Ilheus, Bahia, Brazil, Britni and husband, Chad Gookin of Mount Vernon, and Jason and wife, Amanda Gruenhagen of Davenport; and seven great-grandchildren, Brent, Jesse, Luke, Addison, Hayden, Landen and Fina.
She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, Pamela Moeller, one granddaughter, Amy Luethye, one sister, June Arthur and two brothers, Larry and Robert Scheel.
