Ruby Mae Banta Harrell, age 85, of Shelbyville died Monday, November 21, 2005 at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville. She was a native of Henry County, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Myrtle Ivers Banta, a homemaker and a member of Franklinton Baptist Church.
She is survived by one sister, Pauline Suter, Shelbyville and one brother, Luther (Buck) Banta, Pleasureville and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Carroll Harrell.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, November 23) at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville. Rev. Jerry Shelly, Olive Branch United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Franklinton Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Larry Pilcher, Vernon Sharp, Chris Stangle, Charles Suter, Georgie Suter and Larry Wayne Suter.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Olive Branch United Methodist Church, 6383 Zaring Mill Road, Shelbyville, KY 40065.
