Her father was Langston Bennett , born 1816 in Carroll County, MS or Tenn and died 1850.MS. He was the son of Benjamin Bennett ( 1771-1864 )and Delilah Langston (1775-1850 ), both of South Carolina who moved to Mississippi.

Her mother was Sabina Jane Loftin, born 1815 in Lawrence County, MS. Sabina's parents were Ezekial Loftin ,,Jr (1792-1861) and Jane Ann Allen.(1795-1876) who moved to MS from Georgia.
