GRANTS — Funeral services for Rosa Anderson, 80 were held this morning Thursday Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. at Grants Mortuary Chapel with Father Matthew Keller officiating. Burial followed at Grants Memorial Park with BPO Does #159 honor services.

A visitation was held on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at Grants Mortuary Chapel and a rosary was recited at 7 p.m.

Anderson died Jan. 15 in Tye, Texas. She was born Sept. 20, 1924 in Heidel,Czechoslovika,Germany.

Anderson became a U.S. Citizen in 1955. She was a past president of the VFW ladies Auxiliary, past president of the BPO Does #159 where she has served also as Drove Historian for over 16 years. She became a Drove Life Member in 2000. Anderson assisted in Grants Milan Elks Lodge #2053 in their charitable societies, Elks National Foundation, Charitable and Benevolent Trust, and Cerebral Palsy.

She is survived by her daughter; Diana Caswell of Tye, Texas; brother; Joseph; sisters; Maria, Hidwig, Irmgard, and Erica, all of Germany; and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by Oskar Schwemmer; her husband, John Anderson Jr. and her parents; Joseph and Anna Puchinger.

Pallbearers will be Marshall Goodwin, Robert Hays, Leo Sprunk, Douglas Brumbelow, Virgil Brumbelow, and Twig Hollar.
