Roberta June Sweeney, age 57, of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 at her residence. June was born August 10, 1956 to Hoyt Harding and Lela Estelene (Bashaw) Lunsford at Hominy, Oklahoma. June graduated from Hominy School in 1974 and received her EMTI degree from Rogers State University, and worked for Hominy EMT for 13 years; and her LPN license from Drumright Vo-tech, and worked for Fairfax Hospital for 5 years. Her favorite hobbies were fishing, reading, playing the piano, shopping, playing with her grandchild and pets. June was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hominy.

She is survived by a daughter: Heather Sweeney and a son: Kylee Sweeney and wife Melanie, both of Hominy; one granddaughter: Kelby Sweeney; one sister: Beverly Berry of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one nephew: Matthew Berry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

June was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two nieces.

Rosary will be Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Memorial Service will be Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Father Bruce Brosnahan officiating the Funeral Mass.

Arrangements were made with Powell Funeral Home of Hominy, Oklahoma; with interment in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery, Hominy.
