Shirley C. Becton, 67, went home to be with the Lord December 24, 2005 at Akron City Hospital.
Born in Hazel Hearst, Ga., she had lived in this community five years. She was a member of House of the Lord and was retired from Edingburgh Beauty Salon.
Preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Willie Mae Williams and brother, Comer Williams, she is survived by husband, Theodore Becton; sons, David Jr., Shawn and Dez Taylor; daughter, Misty Wells; brothers, Bruce, Charles and Joe Williams, Jr.; 16 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., with Pastor Vincent Taylor officiating. Friends may call at the chapel on Thursday from 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment at Northview Cemetery, Saturday, December 31, 2005 in Hazel Hearst, Ga.
