Mabel married Richard McCormick, and they became the parents of two daughters.
Mabel worked as a teacher's aide with the Ligonier Valley School District and for the Bureau of Forestry in Laughlintown until retirement.
She was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church where she was active with the church nursery.
At the age of 89, Mabel C. McCormick, of Ligonier, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, at her home.
She was predeceased by her parents.
She was survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Richard R. McCormick; two loving daughters, Patricia Maxwell and her fiance, Larry McGhee, of Hartselle, Ala., and Tamara Dunlevy and her husband, David, of Ligonier; two grandchildren, Ryan Dunlevy and his wife, Maureen, and Clark Maxwell; two great-grandchildren, Brendan and Kaylee Dunlevy; a sister, Doris Patterson and her husband, McKee; a brother, Dale Coleman and his wife, Patricia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
