---Was the third of 11 children of John Isabell Lamb and Cordelia Frances Beaty 'Sis' Draper. He lost his mother at a young age. He also took a lot on a lot of responsibility for the younger ones in the family at that time.

---A.E. was married to Lois Taylor on August 31, 1930. They had three children, Frances Ann (Taylor), Marlene (Schneider) and Aaron Edward Lamb Jr-1944.

---A.E. attended college at Mary-Hardin Baylor had worked for the college and was allowed to attend classes what was then an all-womans college. He graduated from Howard Payne in 1929. He later earned a masters degree from UT.

---He taught in Heidenheimer, Smithville, and Brownwood High School prior to WWII and became Principal of Brownwood Jr. High after WWII where he served for many years (about 1950 -until about 1967). During WWII he worked at Camp Bowie in the Civil Service. He also raised registered Angus cattle.
