Louise F. Warren Obituary
Louise Frances (Doud) Warren of Falmouth, MA daughter of Frances and James C Doud, died peacefully on January 4, 2011 at age 89. She was born January 14, 1922 in Santa Barbara, California.
She is survived by her four children, Valerie Stricklett, Barbara Holden, Diana Wald and James Warren and four grandchildren: Michael Stricklett, Josh and Jessica Wald, and Bryan Holden as well as two great grandchildren: Mikayla and Dylan Stricklett.
Louise studied at Stanford University until her acting interests brought her to New York to study at the New York Academy of Dramatic Arts. There she met her husband, Robert William Warren, an officer in the Royal Navy. They moved to New Jersey where she raised her four children. She and Robert spent 1974 - 1975 in India and Pakistan working with the United Nations peacekeeping mission. Widowed in 1980 she began a new life ballroom dancing, rekindling her love of performing. In 1988 Louise moved to Cape Cod where as a young woman she had had a leading role in the Cape Cod Institute of Music's HMS Pinafore.
She was a wonderful mother with a beautiful singing voice, a generous heart, and a delightful spirit. She loved her many visits back to loving family members in California. And finally was one of the sweethearts at the Royal Megansett Nursing Home where she always managed to sit right beside the piano while Eddie Sheer played some of her favorite songs.
The family held a private service in their home.
Donations in Louise's behalf can be made to Meals on Wheels. Though her spirit is free, she will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind.
