She was born on Aug. 8, 1943, in Sheboygan, the daughter of Gilbert and Arlyne Hansen.
She married Donald Winkelman on May 3, 1963, in Milwaukee.
Judith graduated from New Holstein High School and attended Deaconess Nursing School in Milwaukee.
She was an Avon representative, a school bus driver, and a real estate agent. Judith also enjoyed volunteering at Atwood Community Center.
First and foremost, she was a wife, mother and friend. She loved spending time with people of all ages, and her cats.
Judith is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Carol (Dan) Ellis and Duane (Laura) Winkelman; grandchildren, Megan Ellis, Lyndsey Ellis, Ryan Winkelman, and Mackenzie Winkelman; great-granddaughter, Stella Grace Mikula; brother, Roger Hansen; and sister, Carolyn Hansen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Arlyne Hansen.
A memorial gathering was held at Gunderson East Funeral Home, Madison, on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011.
