Betty Mae Beck Hart died on March 7, 2014, after suffering a massive stroke. Betty and her family had lived in Tucson, AZ, since 1951.

She was born on April 1, 1920, in Poncha Springs, CO, to Harry J. and Ethel Bond Beck. She graduated from high school in Salida, Co.

Betty is survived by her three sons and her daughter-in-law, Floyd R. Hart of Phoenix, AZ, Gregory L. Hart and his wife Evelyn of San Antonio, TX, and Bruce Fraser Hart of Tucson. She loved her four grandchildren and their spouses, Jeremy and Kimberly Hart, Craig Hart, Colin Hart and Sara Hart and Susanna Broegler. Betty enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren Abigail and Dylan grow up. Her sister Margaret Radke lives in Broken Arrow, OK.

Betty was proud of her service in the US Navy during World War II. She was an SK2C (Storekeeper Second Class Petty Officer) in the WAVES. She continued her association with the WAVES in the Desert WAVES Unit 13 of the WAVES National Membership. In 2010 she was thrilled to be able to fly on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., where she visited the World War II Memorial.

Betty was also a member of Las Bonitas Chapter, ABWA, and Christ Church United Methodist.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at Adair Funeral Home Dodge Chapel, Tucson.
