The 1901 Territories census finds Arthur S. Gladwin, born Dec. 15, 1827 at Nova Scotia, farming in the Ponoka district. Living with him was his wife, Louisa, born November 8, 1840 at Nova Scotia, and son, Clyde A., born May 24, 1884 at Nova Scotia.
