Mr. Johnny G. Poplin died on January 9th, 2014 as a result of an automobile accident in Denton, North Carolina.
Mr. Poplin was an Eagle Scout, graduating from Endy High School. He graduated from Kings Business College in Charlotte in 1953. After being drafted in the Army, he was stationed at Fort Bragg in the Finance Office until August 1955. After the Army he graduated from Chapel Hill in 1959 and there he met his wife. They married on June 19, 1957.
His career spanned many years working in various aspects of Accounting, eventually becoming the Budget Officer for the NC Division of Health Services, from which he retired.
