A. Bud Deaton, 43, died Thursday at the home of his brother, W.B. Deaton, on Route 1, Eubank.

The son of the late Brantley and Polly Baker Deaton, Mr. Deaton was born in this county* February 8, 1912. He married Dicie Anderson and five children blessed this union.

Mr. Deaton professed his faith in Christ in June 1938 and united with the Johnson Baptist Church. He remained a faithful and loyal member of that church until his death.

Mr. Deaton is survived by his wife; two daughters, Nancy and Alene Deaton, both of Middletown, Ohio; three sons, C.B., Wilson, and Roy Lee Deaton, all of Middletown.

He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Isabel Turner and Mrs. Sarah Jane Smith, both of Newport, Kentucky; two brothers, W.B. Deaton, Eubank, Rt. 1 and Johnnie Deaton, Buck Horn, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Pulaski Baptist Church, the Rev. Paul Prather officiating. Burial was in the Freedom Cemetery.
