Beverly Ann Daley Walters, age 82, a native of Clinton Iowa, died Monday Nov. 4, 2013 at Mercy Living Center South. Private family services will be held at the Pape Funeral Home.

She was born in 1931. Beverly attended St. Mary's High School and celebrated with the Class of 1949 (the 49'ers) for over 60 years. In 1950, Beverly married Dwain T. Walters. Beverly and Dwain began their journey that would end up in Huntsville, Alabama. Beverly spent the next 18 years raising her children in true southern style, a wonderful legacy she gave to them.

In 1972, Beverly retired to Clinton. Retirement was short lived as Beverly opened and operated B&B Pre-School. She was a positive influence in the lives of many by providing a nurturing pre-school environment for many of the cities children. She served as Wan-tan-ye President and served on the Mercy Hospital Board and volunteer in the gift shop. From 1981 until recently, Beverly made life more beautiful for her family and friends in Clinton and in her adopted city, Huntsville, Alabama. In July of 2012, Beverly moved to Mercy Living Center South.

She is survived by her daughters, Julie (Joe) Hansen, Jan Earhart and Debbie Swaim; grandchildren are Tamara Coggins-Wenzel, Daniel Walters, Chris Swaim, Justin (Mary) Earhart, Jodi Swaim and Dwain Walters; great grandchildren are Hailey (Sean) Fredericksen, Kera Coggins, Ryan Coggins, Emma Coggins, Xander Earhart and Gabriella Earhart; nieces include Kelly Deutscher, Missy Dehner, and Sherri Naeve; nephews include Mark Lehmkuhl, Tim, Jeff, and Randy Jansen; brother-in-law, Leon Lehmkuhl. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nellie Swanson Daley, husband, Dwain Walters, her son, Thomas Walters, her sisters, MaryJo Jansen and Darlene Lehmkuhl, her brother Gary Daley, and sister-in-law, Georgetta Burkert.

In lieu of flowers, please contribute in her name to one of the following charities: Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society, Heart Association, Mended Hearts or Myasthenia Gravis Association. All of these charities influenced her life in some way. Celebrate life, as she did. A special thanks to her caregivers, Jackie Green and the staff of Mercy Living Center South that gave her the "attention" she deserved!
