Notes from The Wall:

Always Remembered Married 9/10/1965- 9/19/1966 All that you gave to me in our 374 days of marriage has carried me thru this life on earth. God took you to Heaven for reasons only He knows. I have done as you told me to do, I have carried on our love. The love you taught me of husband and wife, family and friends. I embraced all your teachings of love and honor. I miss you, I love you, I honor you. We will meet again when God decides. Til then, all is well, my love.
Your loving wife,
Pat

Dear Jerry,

My grandma told me all about you. She said you was a very nice person. She said you told her you wanted to help all the little children of the world. Thank you for making the world a safer place for us.
You are one of God's special angels.

Love,
Kara

I was 13 when I went to work washing mugs at Jones Dog 'N' Suds in Columbus,IN. in 1963. Billie Ruth and Jerry worked there and Jerry was like my big brother and took me riding in his SS Impala, dark blue. I moved away to Alabama and Jerry went to the Army. Sep 1966 rocked my world, Vietnam had taken Jerry away. I go to talk to him everytime I go to Washington. Miss you man, you will never be forgotten

In the letter I received the day after your death you wrote P.S. Remember my heart is always with you. My darling husband, I repeat your words to you. My heart is always with you. Just as I know you are with me in spirit even now. God willing we will be reunited when HE decides I can return to you. I love you.
