Delore “Bud” Orville Anderson, 90, a resident of Dallas died Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Zoe’s Adult Foster Home. He was born in Silverton, Oregon on July 31, 1923 the son of Arthur J. and Tena Kittleson Anderson.

Bud served in the US Army during World War II and received two Purple Heart awards during his service. He was proud to have been in Tokyo Harbor when the “Mighty Mo” came into port for the treaty signing at the end of the war. He was attached to the 11th Airborne Infantry and discharged in December of 1945 as a sergeant. He married Ramona J. Knapp in 1953. She preceded him in death on March 22, 2012. Bud worked for Boise Cascade for many years building roads in the Valsetz area. He retired in February of 1984. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Dallas American Legion Post.

He is survived by his daughter Charleen (Bob) Janzen of Bend, a son Brad (Nancy) Anderson of Redmond and daughter Denise Feeney three grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Marjorie Allen of Henderson, Nevada and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren Shelly Anderson and Brant Hicks.

Viewing will be from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 5th in the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Friday, December 6th in the mortuary with military honors presented. Private family interment will be in the Dallas Cemetery.
