Married October 29, 1858 in Itawamba County, Mississippi to John Gaston Boston, (Son of Frederick and Sarah O. McLain Boston) b. 1835 Rowan County, North Carolina. d. October 27, 1862 in Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee in a Knoxville Hospital.

I find buried in the Bethel Confederate Cemetery, Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee on Find A Grave, J. G. Barton, Co. B, 33rd Mississippi Battalion. I was told that the Confederate dead did not have markers, but was buried in mass graves. Also, names on the plaque were mispelled. I am thinking that this is J. G. Boston, husband of Mary Jane Ruff Boston.
