Alfred P. Blea, 85, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, in Tucumcari.
He was born Sept. 15, 1920, in Mosquero.
He was a member of the St. Anne's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Tucumcari VFW Post 2528, where he was past Post Commander, the American Legion and the St. Joseph Society. He served his country in World War II as a Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Army Air Corp.
He was a retired public school teacher and principal having attained his master's degree in education.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ida Blea, in 1981.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Blea, of Tucumcari; three sons, Julian Blea of Castro Valley, Calif.; Julio Blea (wife, Sharon) of San Leandro, Calif., and Phillip Blea (Alice) of Grain Valley, Mo.; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, his brother Steve Blea (Marie) of Mosquero and his sister Rose Vigil (Steve) of Mosquero.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at St. Anne's Catholic Church. Services will be officiated by the Rev. Fr. Leo Padget. Burial will follow at the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
