By the death of Rebecca Sparr Harris twp has lost one of the oldest and wealthiest residents. Mrs. Sparr died on Saturday at her home on Boalsburg due to infirmities of old age. About a year ago she visited California and has never enjoyed her former good health. She was married twice first to Joseph Meyer a well known musician who died in 1863 while playing the organ at the dedication of the Reformed Church in Boalsburg. She then married David Sparr. She leaves no children but is survived by a sister Mrs. Brungart of Rebersburg. She was a member of the Reformed Church and a woman of high Christian character. The funeral took place on Wednesday morning.
