1924 ~ 2012
Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away at home on November 6, 2012. Harlow was born in Farmington, Utah on Sept. 6 1924 to Edward F. and Inez Potter Clark. A retired Air Force M/SGT, he served in England during WWII, and as a member of the Utah Air National Guard, he served in Clovis, New Mexico during the Korean conflict. He also retired as Crew Chief from the Hill Air Force Base Fire Department after 32 years of service. He married his "bride", Beverly Jane Hurst, on August 29th 1947, after one blind date and a three year courtship. Harlow was always her "perfect gentleman" They loved, laughed, boated, golfed, bowled, and adored each other for their 65 years together. He still called her "my bride"! Their passion for traveling took them many places - Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, the Caribbean and coast to coast in the USA - always together. As a team, they enjoyed friendships and associations formed as charter members of the Cottonwood BPO Elks and the Masons. A member of the Masonic Progressive Lodge, Harlow served in many Masonic positions and was 'Shriner of the Year" in 1997. He especially enjoyed being a Biker in the Mini-Bike Unit of the El Kalah Shrine.Harlow is survived by his "bride" Bev, and leaves behind his daughter Linda, his son Jerry (Mary), and two grandchildren Teri and Shawn. We will all miss his love, kindness, consideration, and thoughtfulness. Everyone who tasted Harlow's "best in the world" peanut brittle will miss his holiday tradition!!The family wishes to give special thanks Pam and Dawna from Danville Support Services and the wonderful people from Superior Home Care and Hospice for their care and support!There will be no services at Harlow's request. Interment, Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the El Kalah Shriners Transportation Fund, 650 East South Temple, SLC UT , 84102. This fund helps children in need of medical attention at the Salt Lake Shriners Hospital.
