Born to William and Josephine Burton Cook, Edna married Joseph E. Eads on Jan. 27, 1925, in Peoria. He died Nov. 9, 1974, in Lebanon, Okla.

One son, four brothers, and one sister also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Earl H.; two daughters, Jean (Alvin) Van Horn and Joe Anna (Roy) Modglin; two brothers, Bert Jarvis and Bill Jarvis; one sister, Lo Ava Jarvis; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

She was a day-care teacher for the Salvation Army Nursery for 10 years in Peoria.
