The following is a quote from another researcher: "When Amanda Rogers divorced Delmar Senter, Amanda returned to her maiden name. Although she had a daughter with Delmar, Amanda gave Myrtle her maiden name of Rogers, when certainly it should have been Senter. So when Amanda married Young A. Holleman, her daughter is listed as Myrtle Rogers on the census. After Amanda died in 1909, Myrtle is listed on the 1910 census as Myrtle Holleman (Hollman). Myrtle is living with Young Holleman and her step-sisters, Leona and Bessie Holleman in Durham."
(They were in the household of Amanda's mother, Frances Rogers.) To date, no official documents located show Amanda or Myrtle with the Senter surname. The marriage and/or divorce documents also have not been located. Amanda married Young Alston Holleman, March 20, 1898, a son of John Holleman And Celia Unknown. Amanda died prior to death certificates being issued in North Carolina so the details of her death are not known at this time.
