TUMA - AHRENS
On Wednesday evening at seven-thirty o'clock Walter H. Tuma of the northern part of the county and Miss Minna Ahrens of Beeville, were united in marriage at the beautiful home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Ernest Kriegel of Giddings, Rev. W. F. Mueller officiating.
The bride is the beautiful and accomplished daughter of Fred Ahrens, a prosperous farmer of Bee county and she has become very popular and much loved by many friends in this county during her visits to her brother's, E. D. Ahrens and sister's, Mrs. Louis Kiel of the Deanville community. She is of such an amiable and sweet disposition, to know her is truly to love her, and the groom is certainly to be congratulated upon winning her for a lifetime.
The groom is well known in all parts of this county having been an efficient teacher in the public schools for several years and he also made a close race for county treasurer three years ago. He always wins much favor where ever known on account of being of such a jolly nature and his deep devotion to duty.
Mr. and Mrs. Tuma will make their home near Rockdale until September 1st, then they will move to near El Campo, where the groom will teach in the rural schools during the coming year.
We beg to add our congratulations to us and best wishes to those of a wide circle of friends. (Burleson County Ledger and News-Chronicle, Caldwell, Tex, June 27,1913 - vm)
