Mrs. Harvey was born at Newburgh, Ohio (now known as Cleveland, Ohio) Nov. 23, 1871, a daughter of Thomas Lawton and Della (Ives) Cash. At the age of 5, following the death of her mother, she and two sisters, a brother and a half sister were raised by various family members. They were reared in Ashtabula County, Ohio, by friends and relatives.

She was married to Arda O. Harvey April 13, 1892. He died in 1942. They began their married life on a farm south of the former Boyd Gilliland farm, now part of the Linesville Sportsman's Club property. In 1904 the family moved to Conneaut Township and bought the former Fred Carroll farm. Two years later they moved to the former LeRoy Waring farm near Penn Line where they lived for 36 years.

Mrs. Harvey was a member of Linesville United Presybterian Church.
