Earl "Lanny" Montover, Jr. 50, of Jesup, GA, died Saturday, April 12, 2014, at his residence. The St. Mary's, Ga, native had lived in Wayne Co., GA, most of his life, attended Wayne County High School, and was an employee with Coastal Georgia College. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents: Earl Montover, Sr. and Ann "Sweet" Middleton.
Survivors are his wife of 25 years: Judith Wright Montover of Jesup, GA, 2 daughters: Leareann Montover and Rachel Michelle Montover, both of Jesup, GA, half-sister: Ashley Faye Montover of Savannah, GA, 2 half-brothers: Aaron Montover and Austin Montover, both of Savannah, GA, 3 grandchildren: Jaylen Alanson Montover, Daniella Greene Montover, and Shawn Graves, all of Jesup, GA, a special aunt: Faye Harrison of St. Mary's, GA, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11 A. M. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the Middleton Memorial Methodist Church with Rev. Irvin Poole and Foreman Miles officiating. Interment will be in the Middleton Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Kevin Ridenour, Billy Middleton, Dennis Middleton, Larry Middleton, Jay Middleton, and Shane Middleton.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 P. M. Monday at the funeral home.
