Mrs. Marie Conner Frady, age 87, passed peacefully into her eternal home on Saturday, April 12, 2014 and is now with her Lord and Savior. She was at Mountainview Assisted Living in Hendersonville, where she has resided for the past three years, when she left this world and was blessed to have her loving family at her side at her passing.
She was born in Rutherford County on April 19, 1926 to the late Walter W. Conner and Dell Mills Conner.
Marie was a member of Charity Mission FWB Church. She liked to tend to her garden and loved growing herbs and flowers, especially purple tulips. A wonderful cook, she provided well for her family and she loved them all dearly.
Her husband of 53 years, Carl Frady, and a grandson, Zachary Frady, preceded her in death.
Marie leaves seven children behind, Edna Burnette and her husband Donald of Marion, Thomas William Frisbee and his wife Brenda Ann of Glenwood, Joan Rhom and her husband Jim of Glenwood, Ronnie Frady and his wife Wanda of Woodlawn, Gail Hensley and her husband Dennis of Nebo, Helen Hughes and her husband Tim of Marion and Joyce Frady of Florida; sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in Westmoreland Chapel with Rev. Dennis Hensley and Rev. Dean Owenby officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in McDowell Memorial Park following the service.
