Born to Edward C. and Barbara Pommert Baer, she married Levi H. Johnson on Dec. 22, 1926, in Chicago. He died Jan. 30, 1964.

One brother and three sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Leigh of Lake Forest, Calif.; three daughters, Mary Jo Grimm of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Karen Couden of Macomb, and Christine Cogswell of Andrews Air Force Base, Md.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Macomb.

Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
