Burtis M. Hallock was the son of Russell Henry Hallock and Charlotte Rice. He married Kate Parton on March 22, 1883.

"Hallock: Burtis M. (Burt), husband of Kate, father of Mrs. Maude Iden, Mrs. Glenna Shultz and Mrs. Adeline Bussell, Tuesday, April 7, 1931, residence, 3120 Kensington Rd. Remains at Charles Melbourne & Sons, 12737 Euclid Ave., where services will be held Thursday, April 9, at 2 p. m. 1858 - 1931. Knollwood Cemetery Cleveland, Ohio."
