Adeline Irene Zessin, died Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Country Side Home, Madison, Nebraska. Adeline was born March 11, 1913 at Madison, Nebraska to Andrew and Rose (Emrich) Kolmer.

Adeline was baptized on March 30, 1913 and confirmed on May 3, 1925 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Madison, Nebraska. She graduated from Madison (NE.) High School in 1929. She attended Wayne (NE.) State College and Norfolk (NE.) Business School of Norfolk.

Adeline became cashier at Brown-McDonald Department Stores, Madison, Nebraska in 1971 and continued working there till her marriage to Arthur Zessin on March 11, 1975 at Trinity Lutheran Church. They farmed and raised; purebred cattle southwest of Madison, Nebraska till retiring to Madison, Nebraska in 1983.

Adeline was a member of St. John Lutheran-Green Garden Church, Ladies Aid since 1948 and served as an officer many times during the span of years. She had been a volunteer at Norfolk (NE.) Faith Regional Health Services and Madison's (NE.) Country Side Home. She belonged to several social and card clubs.

Adeline was preceded in death by: husband, Arthur Zessin in December, 1998; son, Darrel Zessin in May 1970; a granddaughter and sisters, Elsie Bierman and Nettie Freudenberg.

Funeral services for Adeline Zessin, were at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at St. John Lutheran-Green Garden Church, Madison, Nebraska.

Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery, Madison, Nebraska.
